It is Definitely Not A Good Sign When Major Corporations Start Selling Their Campuses
Last week Oracle placed three of their Peninsula office buildings on the for-sale market, after announcing a few weeks ago they were moving their headquarters to Texas. Now NetApp just announced they will sell their 702,200 square foot Sunnyvale office campus. They have not announced leaving California…yet. I started researching all the links to states that were offering inducements/incentives to companies considering relocating out of California. Varying states offer training, 50% property tax reimbursement, no-tax jurisdictions, $10,000 cash per employee for new home buyers, a number of states boast no income taxes, and on and on…I tried to find similar sites for California to woo companies to their state, but I am still looking..
