The Federal Agencies Showed Where Back-To-Work Policies Are Headed
Bisnow April 17, 2023 reported that while March 2022 President Biden said ‘in his State of the Union address that the vast majority of federal workers would soon return to the office…that didn’t happen last year, and the process has not always gone smoothly.” There have been federal agencies who mandated that all employees return to the office five days a week, but then rescinded these mandates after either unions representing the workers filed unfair labor practice charges, or, and this is my opinion and not part of the article, there was enough fear of losing very valued employees that management backed off. There are four million Federal employees so this is a great case study on a massive scale of how to or how not to get employees back into the office.
